Last week Southern California experienced the coldest weather all winter. Now let me prefaced that with saying it’s “California” cold, not “rest of the country” cold. Our days were in the low 50’s and night in the low 30’s and people didn’t know what to do with themselves.
This week, however, it was in the 80’s and my husband and I took advantage of the days that felt like summer with a bike ride.
We are fortunate enough that both our parents live close by so we decided to ride to each of their houses. We dropped of some freshly picked tangerines from our backyard and visited with them for a short bit. We rode home at sunset and enjoyed a glass of sun tea that we made earlier in the day.
While we miss our warm fires and hot chocolate, we will enjoy this for as long as it lasts!
